A limited number of Tubbz Ducks based on Resident Evil 2 restocked recently
The collectibles are $20 and sold out fast
Resellers are flipping them for upwards of $200
RC Elite members made a lot of money this weekend. On Friday night, a restock of highly collectible Tubbz duck figurines was made available for sale. These have resold for a ton in the past. As you might have guessed, resellers were quick on the draw. After the restock sold out, plenty of new listings went up for these ducks, and the resellers that got in are already making their money back.
As we all know, resellers don’t take a lot of baths. You might be wondering why they’re so interested in these bath toys.
Well, believe it or not, these ducks are a very profitable flip. Around a year ago, Tubbz started producing duck toys based on Leon S. Kennedy from the video game Resident Evil 2. For whatever reason, fans absolutely loved it, and they sold out fast.
Since then, the Leon Tubbz Ducks have restocked a few times, but not in any significant numbers. Last Friday, several online stores loaded new ducks for a variety of characters. One of these was the Leon S. Kennedy Duck.
And you can probably guess what happened next. Ever since these ducks were first produced they’ve been popular, and resellers have flipped them for hundreds of dollars over retail.
We’re still waiting to see what the market for these will end up looking like. In the past, Leon Tubbz Ducks have resold for upwards of $250 to $300.
Keep in mind, these retailed for $20. Do we understand it? Not really, but people are apparently pretty desperate to get one of these ducks. Will they bathe with it? Build a shrine? At least with an Amiibo you get some sort of in-game effect.
In any case, keep an eye for more restocks of these ducks. Multiplying your money by ten is always a good idea, no matter what the product is.
