For almost 20 years, Gears fans have been revving the Lancer’s chainsaw bayonet through the Locust Horde. Now they can take it to a square of pepperoni and cheese. Prince Street Pizza teamed up with Xbox to turn the franchise’s signature weapon into a working kitchen tool, and it went about how you’d expect when you put a functional Lancer in front of the Gears faithful. The cutter cost the same as a brand new video game, and the first few on the secondary market are clearing close to seven times that. There’s also a second, much cheaper way into this collab that’s running for another month.

Prince Street Pizza Gears Collab Details

Prince Street Pizza is the SoHo slice shop famous for its Sicilian squares and crispy pepperoni cups, now with locations across the US and in Toronto. To celebrate Gears of War: E-Day, which launches October 6 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass, the shop and Xbox rolled out a full collab announced on Xbox Wire.

The headliner is the Prototype Lancer pizza cutter, which dropped on Prince Street’s webstore yesterday. It’s a molded ABS replica of the Prototype Lancer frame with a food-grade stainless steel wheel sitting where the chainsaw would be. When you really, really need to make sure your pizza is cut the right way, this is the only tool for the job.

The “Prototype” part is a nice touch for lore fans. E-Day is an origin story set 14 years before the original game, during the first Locust attack on the city of Kalona, so this is the weapon as it appears in that era. The cutter sold out quickly, and Prince Street hasn’t said anything either way about a restock.

Gears of War Lancer Pizza Cutters Resell

Only a handful of cutters have sold on eBay, but confirmed sales have reached $400. At that price, a seller clears upwards of $250 even after eBay fees and shipping expenses.

That’s a serious return on a pizza accessory, but a few early sales don’t set a market. First-wave buyers tend to pay the hype premium, so expect prices to spread out as more listings close. If you’re holding one, list high while interest peaks and step down slowly rather than undercutting.

The emblem codes are the more accessible play. Every Emergence Pie or individual slice (spicy vodka sauce, mozzarella, ground pepperoni, sausage, and Carbone chili crisp) comes with a code card, and codes are selling for $10 to $100 on eBay. Grab a slice and the code could cover lunch or turn a small profit.

Keep expectations near the low end, though. The promo runs through November 1 at every Prince Street location, so code supply will keep climbing well after the game launches. Sell early.

Bottom Line

If you picked up one of these pizza cutters before they sold out: congratulations, you’re sitting on a lot of potential profit. We’d recommend listing yours on eBay now while hype is strong.

If not, remember that Prince Street Pizza will be running their collab through November 1. A limited restock of these pizza cutters is definitely a possibility, so keep your eyes out for any news. Otherwise, remember that orders for an Emergence Pie or slice come with download codes that are reselling on eBay right now.
