Announcement

The Pokémon X Fossil collaboration was announced by Pokémon Center on September 13th, at 8:00 AM PST. The Kanto First Partners watch was one of two limited edition designs available.

Release

The watch released on Pokémon Center at the same time it was announced (8 AM PST), with no advanced warning. There was a limit of 2 per person.

Sold Out

The Kanto First Partners Watch Sells Out
This watch was the last of the two released to sell out. It was in stock late into the afternoon, which was a relatively long window compared to the sub-2 hour sellout time of the Gengar watch.

Resell

Second Place in Profit
Due to a lesser demand and a longer in-stock time, the Kanto watch sold on the aftermarket for about half the price of the Gengar watch that released on the same day. That being said, it was still incredibly profitable for resellers, reaching an aftermarket price in the $500 range by mid October.
