In 2020, Avalon Hill released a Hasbro Pulse crowdfunding campaign to bring back the legendary HeroQuest tabletop game. The Mythic Tier comes with exclusive extras on top of the base game, and was never available at retail stores.

Mysterious Countdown Timer
In September of 2020, Avalon Hill launched a teaser website with the HeroQuest logo and a countdown timer, leading to lots of speculations and fanfare in the community.
Release
Crowdfunding Campaign
As soon as the countdown timer ended on September 22nd, a crowdfunding page on Hasbro Pulse was revealed. For a $149.99 pledge, you could receive the Mythic Tier bundle of the game upon release.

Crowdfunding Campaign Closes
The Hasbro Pulse campaign closed on November 6th, with a grand total of a massive 107,992 backers. With it, the opportunity to buy the HeroQuest Mythic Tier bundle was now gone.

Early Resell Prices
Copies of the HeroQuest Mythic Tier began shipping to backers by December of 2021, and just a few months after this, sealed copies were selling on eBay for around the $650 mark.

Aftermarket Prices Climb
For buyers that held the HeroQuest Mythic Tier bundle, aftermarket prices rose steadily in the year following release, with resellers on eBay able to sell them for around $750 by February of 2023.
