The day before D23 Expo 2022 was slated to start in Anaheim, Lorcana announced that a special set of 6 cards would be available for purchase from their booth at the event for $49.95, as well as this standalone promotional card + pin as freebies for all visitors.

Day 1

On the event’s first day, doors opened at 9 AM PST and the promo card was available for free to anyone that came by the Lorcana booth. It was reportedly easy to get, although a lengthy line did form by later in the day.

On day two, as word spread to more attendees about the Lorcana hype train, a more consistent flow of people made their way to the booth, causing the card + pin bundles to run out by 1:36 PM PST.

Just over a month after D23 ended, PSA announced they would begin grading the Lorcana promo cards, which further cemented the aftermarket for them.
