Citizen Brick announced this Zelensky minifigure in an Instagram post that has now been taken down. All profits from this sale were to be donated to relief for Ukraine.
Sold Out
The fundraiser picked up immediate attention from the Lego community, selling out within hours. The Citizen Brick team worked throughout the 24 hour period to create and restock more minifigures. A total of $16,540 was ultimately raised from this release.
Restock
Second Batch Released
Overwhelming demand for the minifigure led to Citizen Brick announcing a restock on March 16th, at 9AM PST. The goal of this restock was to raise $100,000.
Sold Out
The minifigure was sold out by 5AM PST, just under a day after being released. A total of $145,388 was raised for charity.
Resell
Zelenskyy Sells For $250
The fundraising story behind this Lego caught media attention, and led to an upsurge of hype around this minifigure. eBay sales in December 2022 were recorded hitting a $250 price point.
