PlayStation’s latest limited edition controller is a collab with Blackpink star Lisa. Preorders opened yesterday, and to our surprise, they’re still open. Even stranger, we’re already seeing sales roll in for them on eBay, despite the fact that you can still buy one direct from PlayStation. Before you rush to place an order and collect some of that cash, there are some caveats to this one that you should consider.

Lisa PlayStation 5 DualSense Details

PlayStation first teamed up with Lisa last year for a PS5 marketing campaign, a natural fit given she’s an avid gamer when she isn’t touring or recording. This controller is the first physical product to come out of the partnership.

The Lisa Limited Edition DualSense puts Lisa’s bangs and eyes across the touchpad, along with her signature stars and an “LL” monogram, all on a Chroma Pearl finish she reportedly picked herself. Sony paired it with a merch line of apparel, hats, totes, and a controller case, with additional pieces landing October 23 on Lisa’s Amazon storefront to line up with her new EP, Press Play. It’s a sharp looking pad, and fans who game on PS5 have every reason to want one.

US preorders went live October 2 at 7am PT, with UK and EU buyers getting their shot at 10am local time. PlayStation described the run as limited quantities worldwide, and in our preview coverage we expected it to disappear fast. As of Saturday afternoon the controller is still listed as available for preorder.

Lisa PS5 Controllers Still Resell

Despite the open preorder window, confirmed orders have sold on eBay in the $120 to $150 range. Volume is thin, though, and every recorded sale came through on launch day. Our best guess is that these buyers were dedicated fans who didn’t want to gamble on missing the drop, or collectors overseas where regional stock may have moved faster.

PlayStation Lisa DualSense Controller for Sale

Limited edition DualSense controllers have become a lucrative niche for resellers, but usually only when they sell out. As long as anyone in the US can still order the Lisa controller at retail, there’s a hard ceiling on what buyers will pay a reseller. Launch day sales likely happened before shoppers realized stock was sticking around, and the slowdown since then suggests demand isn’t outpacing supply.

Bottom Line

This one looks like a brick. The good news is that PlayStation Direct lets you cancel a preorder for a full refund before it ships and offers free 30 day returns after delivery. If you already have an order, there’s no harm in listing it and canceling or returning if it doesn’t move.
