Lisa has turned nearly everything she touches into a moment, from music to fashion, and now gaming. This marks her second official run with PlayStation, but the first time it has produced something you can actually hold. Similar limited edition controllers have held to a familiar pattern: sell out fast, then pop up on eBay well above what Sony charged. This one has the same ingredients, limited stock and a fanbase that will seek out anything with their fave’s face on it. The preorder window will be short.

PlayStation X Lisa Limited Edition Collab Details

PlayStation first partnered with Lisa last year to launch a new marketing campaign for PS5. When she’s not touring the world and making new music, Lisa is an avid gamer, and the partnership was a natural fit.

The new Lisa Limited Edition DualSense controller features Lisa’s bangs and eyes rendered across the touchpad, paired with her signature stars and a bold “LL” monogram, all set against a Chroma Pearl finish she reportedly picked herself.

Sony is also releasing a matching merchandise line, apparel, hats, tote bags, and a controller case. We’ll let you make your own decisions on whether those items are worth flipping.

For Lisa’s fans that also own a PS5 (and even the ones that don’t), these controllers are a unique collectible that will be in heavy demand. Don’t expect preorders to stay up for too long.

Lisa DualSense Controller Preorder Details

US preorders open October 2 at 7am PT on PlayStation Direct, with UK and EU buyers able to order at 10am local time through PlayStation’s regional hardware stores. The controller ships October 30 in limited quantities to PlayStation and participating retailers worldwide. Select merchandise follows the same preorder and launch dates, while additional pieces land October 23 on Lisa’s official Amazon storefront, timed to her new EP, Press Play, which drops that same day.

Why These PS5 Controllers Will Resell

Limited edition controllers have become a lucrative niche for resellers over the past few years. PlayStation has dominated the market, and rolled out limited edition DualSense designs for games like Astro Bot, Wolverine, and Grand Theft Auto VI that all flipped for well above retail prices.

And a collaboration with a celebrity like Lisa just adds to the demand. She has a massive fanbase across the world and especially in South Korea, and her audience skews heavily with gamers and people looking to collect unique merchandise.

In short, we think this looks like a pretty good flip. These controllers have a proven track record when it comes to reselling on eBay, and you’ll have thousands of fans competing to secure an order when they go live.

Bottom Line

PlayStation Direct’s standard policy allows returns within 30 days and lets you cancel a preorder for a full refund before it ships, which makes this a fairly low risk buy compared to most limited releases.

Still, you should always check the exact terms at checkout on drop day for any language that contradicts these policies. Set an alarm for October 2, have a PlayStation Direct account and payment method ready ahead of time, and expect this to sell out quickly given how fast recent DualSense collabs have moved.
