Snapple Kicks Off Knicks-Themed Scavenger Hunt in NYC

Snapple announced the limited-edition Knicks championship bottle to celebrate New York’s title, and the setup is unlike most drops we cover. Instead of a traditional online or in-store release, the brand is scattering 100 bottles across mystery locations in New York City.

Clues will roll out through Snapple’s social media channels. Food influencer @meals_by_cug is also in on it, teasing bottle locations through his account — so follow both if you’re in the city and want a shot at one.

A Knicks championship on its own would send NYC merch into a frenzy, but 100 bottles across the entire city is an almost absurdly small run. That scarcity, combined with the cultural moment and the city’s current energy, gives these real secondary market appeal.

This isn’t Snapple’s first rodeo with limited glass bottles in New York. We covered their glass bottle revival last fall, where packs were flipping for up to $50. These Knicks bottles carry significantly more cultural weight — championship merch from a city that waited decades for this moment is a different beast.

We’d estimate individual bottles selling for $100 or more on the secondary market, possibly higher depending on how much the championship hype sustains itself. That said, there are no sold comps yet, so treat that figure as a projection, not a guarantee.

Because these are being distributed through a scavenger hunt rather than sold at retail, there’s no purchase risk in the traditional sense — you’re not laying out money to acquire one. The main cost is your time scouting locations once clues drop. If you find one and can’t flip it, you’re left with a very nice Snapple bottle.
