Key Points

  • The base card retails for $8.99, with bulk discounts dropping the price to as low as $5.00 each

  • Parallels are numbered to 50 (Gold), 25 (Orange), 10 (Black), 5 (Red), and 1/1 (FoilFractor)

  • Orders close April 5 at 3:00 p.m. EDT, with cards shipping 10 to 15 days after the sale ends

Humanity sent four astronauts toward the moon for the first time since 1972, and Topps is already selling a trading card about it. The Artemis II mission launched April 1 from Kennedy Space Center, and as is tradition with big cultural moments, Topps Now spun up a print-on-demand card within days of liftoff. For collectors and space enthusiasts, this is a neat collectible. For resellers, it’s a more complicated picture.

Artemis II Topps Now Cards

The Artemis II Topps Now card (#A201) features the Space Launch System rocket climbing skyward against a blue sky, with the NASA logo in the lower left corner and the caption “Artemis II: 1st Crewed Mission Around the Moon Since ’72.” T

The card is dated April 1 in the top right corner. The reverse description refers to the crew: Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen, while one of the parallels features a shot of the Earth from the inside of the craft.

There’s also a short print variation that shows the SLS emerging in-flight from behind an American flag and an Artemis program flag. Short prints are randomly inserted among orders.

Artemis II Topps Now Parallels

Topps Now has used an updated foil parallel system since 2025, and this card follows that format:

  • Gold /50
  • Orange /25
  • Black /10
  • Red /5
  • FoilFractor 1/1

There are also Chrome and Opal Chrome parallels that only unlock if the card hits specific print run milestones: Chrome variants open up at 50,000 and 100,000 copies ordered, while Opal Chrome variants appear at 250,000 and 500,000. Given the niche nature of this release compared to a Shohei Ohtani card, hitting those thresholds would be a significant surprise. Plan on the standard foil parallel structure being the realistic ceiling here.

Artemis II Topps Now Parallel Structure

  • 50,000+ Print Run: Look for Chrome parallels /99 and /50 + lower parallel structure.

  • 100,000+ Print Run: Look for Chrome parallels /25, /10, /5 and 1/1 SuperFractor + lower parallel structure.

  • 250,000+ Print Run: Look for Opal Chrome parallels /50, /25, /10 and /5 + lower parallel structure.

  • 500,000+ Print Run: Look for 1/1 White OpalFractor Chrome + lower parallel structure.

This matters for resellers because the total number of base cards printed directly determines how many rare parallels exist in the world. If this card ends up with a print run of, say, 2,000 copies, there will be exactly 50 Gold parallels, 25 Orange, 10 Black, 5 Red, and one FoilFractor in circulation. A smaller print run means fewer rare cards, but those cards also face a smaller pool of collectors chasing them.

Will These Cards Resell?

Here’s where we need to be straight with you: Topps Now cards have limited and inconsistent resale history, and this one has some specific challenges.

The base card is an open edition print. Topps prints however many copies are ordered during the window, which means you won’t know the final print run until after the sale closes. That makes it nearly impossible to gauge how much supply you’re competing against when you eventually try to sell. Base cards are already showing up on eBay as pre-sale listings from dealers who bulk ordered at the discounted rate, which is a sign that the arbitrage opportunity on base cards is already being squeezed.

Bulk pricing does reduce your cost basis: five cards runs $7.00 each, ten cards $6.00 each, and twenty or more cards drop to $5.00 each. If you’re going to play this, bulk ordering is the only math that makes sense. But flipping raw base cards for any real profit is unlikely unless this release gets significantly more traction than similar Topps Now non-sports drops. Previous Topps Now space and cultural releases have moved the needle for collectors, but the secondary market data on comparable cards isn’t compelling enough to project easy flips on base copies.

The real play, if there is one, is pulling a numbered parallel. A graded FoilFractor or Red /5 from a card commemorating the first crewed lunar mission since the Apollo era has genuine long-term collector appeal. Space memorabilia and NASA-related collectibles carry a dedicated collector base that operates somewhat independently from sports card market trends. A PSA 10 on a 1/1 from this specific moment in history is a different conversation than a PSA 10 on a base card from a random baseball game.

Bottom Line

The card is available directly from Topps.com until April 5 at 3:00 p.m. EDT. Buying more cards per order increases your odds of pulling a parallel, since odds are based on the total number of cards in your order, not the number of orders placed. If you’re chasing parallels, this is meaningful: an order of 20 cards gives you substantially better odds than an order of one. Cards ship 10 to 15 business days after the sale window closes.

This is marked as final sale. There are no refunds. If you bulk order chasing parallels and come up empty, you’re holding base cards that may or may not have a buyer.

For collectors, this is a low-cost entry point into a genuinely historic moment and easy to justify at $9 a card. For resellers, raw base cards are a tough sell given the open print run and existing eBay competition. The real opportunity is in numbered parallels, particularly the Red /5 and FoilFractor, which carry collector appeal that could hold value or appreciate as the mission’s historical significance sets in. Grading condition matters. Don’t treat this as a sure flip. Treat it as a lottery ticket with a low entry price and a compelling top prize.
