Avatar specifically carries collector weight because the franchise has a dedicated fanbase willing to pay premium for official merchandise, especially limited theater exclusives.

The Banshee bucket itself is massive at 26″ x 9″ x 12″ and features striking blue coloring with luminous wings. It’s detailed enough to double as display piece, which drives collector demand beyond just popcorn enthusiasts. Previous Avatar merchandise consistently moved at markup, and with the film’s premiere generating hype right now, timing is perfect for quick flips.

Both Regal and Cinemark are selling identical Banshee buckets. The film gets early screenings at select locations before tomorrow’s wide release, so call your local theaters to confirm availability. Some locations opened sales yesterday for premiere screenings.

Shipping on these is brutal since they’re huge, so local sales through Facebook Marketplace or Mercari with local pickup will preserve profits. If you must ship, we strongly recommend making buyers pay for the shipping, as the $15 to $20 fees will eat into your margins quickly.

Here’s the critical part: this is final sale only with no refunds at both Regal and Cinemark. If demand drops or you can’t move all three buckets, you’re stuck with $240 in unsellable inventory. That said, eBay already shows solid sold listing activity at the $120 price point, and Avatar collectors tend to pay up for official theater merchandise.

The three-unit limit also means you can’t scale this into massive profits unless you hit multiple theater locations, which adds time and gas costs. This is best approached as a quick local flip rather than a major inventory play.

With Avatar: Fire and Ash getting early screenings today at select theaters and wide release tomorrow, inventory won’t last long at retail. If you’re near a Regal or Cinemark showing early screenings, this is a same-day flip opportunity. Buy your limit, list immediately, and you could have profits before the weekend ends.
