Analogue 3D Consoles Finally Ship and Continue to Resell

The Analogue 3D isn’t your typical retro console cash grab. This is a premium FPGA-based system that plays original N64 cartridges in 4K, built by Analogue, the company known for turning classic consoles into luxury collector items. When preorders opened at $250, both black and white versions sold out fast with a 2024 holiday ship date.

The console was immediately picked up by gaming outlets. Analogue had a ton of success with their Pocket handhelds, and resellers were eager to jump on the chance for another profitable electronics flip.

Then came the delays. First pushed to Q1 2025, then it kept sliding. Anyone who’s followed Analogue knows this is standard, they don’t rush products. But those delays created a pressure cooker for resellers. Every pushback made secondary prices climb as buyers got more desperate. Units were flipping for $400-500 while still months from shipping.

Now that units are arriving, there’s a fresh surge. Social media is flooded with unboxing videos and reviews praising the 4K output. That visibility is spiking prices again, with consistent eBay sales at $500-600 and black units pushing $700.

eBay is where the action is. Sold listings show black units moving at $400-$500, with outlier sales for up to $700. White makes up a smaller portion of the sales but is trading for similar prices.

Prices haven’t dropped now that units are shipping, which usually happens when buyers flip immediately to recoup costs. That’s not happening here, signaling genuine demand over pure speculation.

The Analogue 3D occupies a unique space. It’s not competing with cheap emulation boxes or Nintendo’s offerings. This is premium hardware for collectors who want authentic N64 experience without aging hardware and blurry composite video. The 4K upscaling is legitimate, build quality exceptional, and it works with original cartridges.

Short term, prices stay elevated through March. Analogue hasn’t announced restock plans, and following their usual pattern, another production run likely won’t hit until late 2025. That scarcity keeps secondary prices strong.

Long term depends on Analogue’s production decisions. They typically do small batches that sell out quickly rather than flooding the market, maintaining brand prestige and resale values. For preorder holders, selling now while shipping excitement peaks makes sense. Holding long term is riskier unless production ends.

It’s not clear when the Analogue 3D will restock. The company opened new preorders several times in 2024, but it’s been a while since new customers had a chance to place an order. Now that they’ve solved their production issues, a restock announcement is likely just around the corner.
