And the limited edition swag is selling out
Looney Tunes records in West Babylon NY is holding a signing event with Mariah Carey
Entrants must purchase a CD and wristband for $20, limited to 500
Mariah Carey’s other signed CDs resell for over $100
Mariah Carey is doing an in-person signing at Looney Tunes Records in Long Island on September 30, and this could be a solid flip for those in the area. Buy her new album “Here For It All” on CD and get a wristband to meet the legend herself and have your CD signed. With Mariah’s autographed CDs regularly selling for $90-$300+ on eBay, this is definitely worth considering if you’re local.
To get in, you’ll need to purchase the “Here For It All” CD from Looney Tunes’ website or in-store to receive your wristband. If ordering online, there’s a $6 processing fee for PayPal or credit card, but no fee if you buy at the store.
Online orders must be picked up the day of the event at the store with your ID and order number. Everyone attending needs their own wristband regardless of age.
Important restrictions: The person whose name is on the order must pick up the wristband and attend. No transfers allowed. One autograph per person, and she’s only signing the new CD. No photos allowed.
All sales are final with no refunds, even if you can’t make the event. This is a final sale item, meaning you can’t return it if the resale market doesn’t pan out. Only buy if you’re certain you can attend the signing and are comfortable with the investment risk.
Retail cost is around $20-26 for the CD plus wristband at Looney Tunes Records in West Babylon, New York. This is a great opportunity to pick up Mariah’s signature at a low price, and we regularly see it resell for upwards of $100 at a time.
All sales are final with no refunds, even if you can’t make the event. Only buy if you’re certain you can attend the signing and are comfortable with the investment risk.
After eBay’s fees, you’re looking at roughly $65-$115 profit per signed CD depending on market conditions when you list.
With only 500 wristbands available and the event just hours away, these will likely sell out quickly. If you’re within driving distance of Long Island, this is worth serious consideration for a same-day flip opportunity.
Mariah’s album “Here For it All” dropped earlier this week, and this is not the first in-person autograph signing she’s done to promote. Just a few days ago she was at a Barnes & Noble location selling CDs, and these are already moving on eBay.
This confirms that there’s a solid market for these CDs, so you don’t need to stress about finding a buyer. Remember, the event starts at 6 PM sharp, with lines starting at 3 PM. No photos are allowed, and you must purchase a CD and wristband from the shop to participate. If you buy online you’ll be charged a $6 markup.
That’s all for today. If you’re on the hunt for more profitable flips before they pass you by, make sure you subscribe to our newsletter. We’re hard at work bringing the hottest products every week, but you won’t hear about any of them if you’re not subscribed.
