Spirit Halloween Shrinker Bob Beetlejuice Costumes Flip for $150

There are a lot of camps when it comes to Halloween costume. Maybe you’re the type to go all out; drench yourself in fake blood and give little kids nightmares. Others prefer to go the low effort, ironic route, or just eschew the whole thing and complain about a fun holiday.

For the lazy, going store-bought makes things nice and easy. Why bother with creativity when you can grab something topical from Party City?

But there’s so many choices. Do you go as Hawk Tuah Girl, Travis Kelce, or any number of other dead memes that were popular in April? Well, one choice in particular is very popular: Shrinker Bob from “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”.

The pinheaded, big-bodied, bug-eyed monster is apparently this year’s hottest Halloween costume, and several different stores have been selling different versions.

One of the most notable is Spirit Halloween’s Shrinker Bob costumes. These include an oversized yellow suit, nametag, and molded shrunken head. The head sits on top of your own cranium, and the padded shoulders really sell the whole outfit.

Fortunately, there’s always a way to get the things you want, even if they’re sold out. If you don’t mind throwing around a little cash that is. Resellers have jumped on these costumes, and the profits are coming in fast.

Right now, Spirit Halloween’s Shrinker Bob costumes are reselling for upwards of $150 at a time, with some sellers flipping theirs for $200, even $300, but those are definitely outliers. Some people just really, really need this costume apparently.

And why not? If you’ve got the extra cash to blow on a stupid Halloween costume, we’re not going to stop you. Neither are the resellers whose pockets you’re lining, and we’re guessing Spirit doesn’t particularly care either.

It’s definitely not too late to jump in on the fun. While these costumes have been sold out on Spirit’s website for over a week now, you can still find them at your local stores. Of course, another reseller might have beaten you to the punch by now.
