Key Points

  • Ween will be selling autographed merch this week

  • There are six concerts in Montana, Oregon, and Washington

  • Signed Ween merch is very rare, and resells for hundreds

The weirdo favorites Ween have resumed their U.S. tour this week, with dates up and down the west coast. If you’re planning to attend a concert or you’re near one of their stops, you should know that extremely rare autographed material will be available for sale during the show. Signed Ween merch has flipped for a ton in the past, and this week will probably be your only opportunity to join the fun. Here are the details.

Ween Signed Merch

After canceling their tour dates in April, Ween is back, and browner than ever. The band has six more shows planned for this week in Oregon and Washington after playing in Montana last night.

Expect a night of raucousness, drugged out fans, probably a little vomit, and mellowed out old hipsters who know all the words. It’ll be a lot of fun for all involved, with several hours of music across multiple albums.

Not familiar with Ween? The band has been kicking around since 1984 in some form or another, bending genre and tone into an eclectic, sludgy, bopping sound that’s wholly their own.

Their ’97 record “The Mollusk” brought them into the spotlight. It’s often regarded as their most definitive work, and Stephen Hillenberg cited Ween as a critical influence for the creation of SpongeBob, with the song “Ocean Man” featured in the SpongeBob movie’s end credits and introducing Ween to a new generation of fans.

There’s plenty more to say but this is a resell blog not a Ween fan club (yet), so let’s get back to the scalping. Ween is playing live again for the first time in months, and signed Ween merch will be up for sale at each of their next concerts.

You’ll be able to buy an exclusive white vinyl variant of “Chocolate & Cheese” during the show, which comes in both signed and unsigned variants. There will also be signed and unsigned posters with designs exclusive to each night’s show.

Ween Tour Dates

This is a great opportunity for Ween fans and resellers alike. See, unlike contemporary musicians that drop signed merch every time they release an album with fifteen different variants, Ween is notoriously shy about giving out their autographs.

So when we tell you this is a guaranteed chance to get signatures from Gene Ween and Dean Ween in one night, you should recognize the opportunity to make a buck.

Here are the dates and locations of the next six Ween concerts:

  • August 3, Bonner MT
  • August 4, Spokane WA
  • August 6, Seattle WA
  • August 8, Portland OR
  • August 9, Portland OR
  • August 10, Eugene OR

There is also a concert scheduled on September 27 in Philadelphia for the 30th anniversary of “Chocolate & Cheese”.

Aside from the Spokane show, tickets to these concerts are all sold out, and have been sold out for weeks. Depending on the show, you might be able to buy tickets from a reseller (ironic) for a decent price.

Tickets for the Seattle show look to be reselling for about $50, while there are a handful of seats during one of the Portland shows for $120. Yeah, this won’t be the cheapest flip out there and certainly not the easiest, but the potential profit is immense.

Signed Ween Merch Resells

Like we said, Ween does not sign a lot of stuff. If you do a quick eBay search for signed Ween merch, you’ll find stuff from a wide range of years, and not much of it.

But what is on there resells, and it resells for a lot. Signed Ween posters from previous concerts – just like the ones for sale this week – have resold for hundreds of dollars. There are all kinds of variants, and most sales are from concerts from nearly a decade ago.

And signed Ween vinyl is so rare that eBay has only recorded two sales for it the last 90 days, but both examples flipped for more than $300.

From what we know about these upcoming tour dates, signed Ween posters will probably be around $50 and the vinyl closer to $80. Factoring in ticket costs and shipping, buying even a single piece of signed Ween merch will likely break you even for the whole concert.

But if you get to the merch stands early and buy a whole bunch of signed stuff (for your friends, of course), this goes from seeing a concert for free to actually being paid to attend.

Good deal? We’ll let you decide, but this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to see some live music and isn’t above a little scalping.
