Target is selling bags of Hello Kitty Goldfish for $3
They are sold out online and in many stores
Resellers are flipping the bags for three to five times what they paid
Did your wallet take a hit over the last month? We’ve got something simple today that can help with that. Right now, Target is selling a new and limited edition crossover between Hello Kitty and Goldfish. Yes, the crackers. While the strawberry shortcake-flavored snack really doesn’t sound that appetizing, people apparently love the idea. Enough so that the bags are sold out online and in many stores, and resellers are making a profit by flipping them.
It turns out that there’s a lot of money to be made in Goldfish. Back in May, we covered the collaboration between Goldfish and NBA star Boban Marjanović, and now the company has bagged an even bigger prize: Hello Kitty.
Yes, for a limited time only, you can feast on a shortcake-flavored replica of Hello Kitty’s adorable little head, wrapped in special Goldfish packaging.

We have no idea what inspired this new collaboration. Well, money probably, but that’s a given. Crossovers like these are a great way to drum up a little extra cash, and if it catches some attention on social media? Even better.
If you’re itching to try a bag, we’ve got some bad news. Hello Kitty Goldfish are sold exclusively through Target and Goldfish’s online store, but as of this writing, everything is sold out online.
Hello Kitty Goldfish cost $3 per bag. If there any Target stores near you (and there’s probably more than one), it’s worth checking shelves for these.
As with other limited time, limited edition crossovers that inexplicably gain traction and sell out, Hello Kitty Goldfish are proving extremely profitable for resellers. Now that these are impossible to buy through retailers online and a challenge to find in person, consumers have no one left to turn to.
Hello Kitty Goldfish are reselling for around $10 a bag right now. Some sellers have managed to turn theirs around for up to $15 or even $20 on a bag. If you get lucky and find several in stock, you can easily load up on them and sell them over time.
While $5 to $10 in profit may seem slim, consider that you can also flip these locally. Instead of dealing with shipping and sellers fees, arranging local sales is a great way to make a double or triple digit profits in a single day.
If you’re above making easy money, than by all means let this go by. But we have a feeling many of our readers understand the value of turning a shopping trip into a potential source of profit.
